A tiny app that fixes a big bad habit

Catch your slouch. Sit up happy.

Sprout is a friendly little Mac app that notices the second you start to slump, then walks you through a 5-minute fix — counting your reps and checking your form, so your neck actually gets better.

Free for 7 days, no card. Then $49 once, yours for life. Your camera never leaves your laptop.

Made for your Mac · Windows coming soon

Sound familiar?

Nobody decides to slouch. It just happens — all day.

You start the morning sitting just fine. Then a deadline lands, you lean in toward the screen, your shoulders round, your chin drifts forward — and you hold that shape for hours without once noticing. The first you hear of it is the ache that shows up at the end of the day.

You've tried the fixes. A better chair. A standing desk you forget to raise. A reminder app you now swipe away in your sleep — because it nags on a timer whether you're actually slouching or not. None of them watch you. None of them catch you in the act and walk you back.

You can't catch yourself slouching all day. So something has to do it for you.

Here's the whole thing

Three quiet steps. Zero willpower.

It notices

A little model on your Mac spots the slump — and only the slump — then gives you a friendly nudge. Not a dumb timer you learn to ignore.

It coaches

Once a day, a 5-minute routine. The camera counts your reps and checks your form — so you're actually doing the moves that undo the damage.

You watch it work

Most apps buzz, you stop noticing, you quit. Sprout shows your posture getting better week by week — so you can see it working and keep going.

Why it's not just another nag

Reminders nag. Sprout coaches.

Every cheap app stops at the buzz, or snaps one photo and guesses. None of them check if you're doing the fix right. That's the bit that actually changes things — so that's the bit we built around.

Checks your form, rep by rep

Like a coach over your shoulder — not a video you half-follow.

Noticing + fixing in one

Not just an alarm, not just a stretch library. Both, working together.

Real progress, not a gold star

Your actual posture, charted as it improves.

No gadget, no monthly bill, no insurer

Nothing to wear, nothing to renew, nobody to ask permission.

Other apps shuffle their prices and features a lot — these were right at the time of writing.

The camera question

Your camera feed never leaves your laptop. Pinky promise.

On your Mac only

The model runs right on your computer. Nothing's ever sent to a server.

Nothing is saved

No frames stored, no uploads. Read in the moment, then gone.

Works offline

Pull the wifi — it still does its job just fine.

No sign-up to start

Just download and go. No account, no email harvesting.

A quick note from me

I write code for a living, and after years hunched at a laptop my neck was a wreck. I tried the standing desk, the brace, the reminder apps I learned to swipe away in my sleep. Not one of them ever checked whether I was actually fixing anything.

So I'm building the thing I wish I'd had — a friendly little app that catches me folding forward and walks me through the fix, right on my own machine, with nobody watching but me. If that sounds like you too, founding members can help me build it.

Fair questions

Stuff you're probably wondering.

How does the free 7-day trial work?
Download Sprout and use every feature free for 7 days — no card and no account needed to start. When you're ready, buy the one-time $49 lifetime license to keep it for good. Nothing auto-charges; if it's not for you, just stop using it.
Is my webcam really private?
Totally. Everything runs on your own Mac — no frames are uploaded, saved, or sent anywhere, and it works with your wifi switched off. We literally can't see you, because the video never reaches us.
Why does my Mac's green camera light stay on?
Because Sprout is using the camera to check your posture. macOS turns that green dot on whenever any app uses the camera — so it's your proof nothing's hidden. The video never leaves your Mac.
Do these exercises actually do anything?
Honestly? Corrective exercise has solid research behind it, but it's not magic — the trick is doing it regularly and doing it right, which is exactly what Sprout's form-checking is for. It's a healthy habit helper, not a medical treatment.
How's this different from a reminder app?
Reminder apps buzz when you slouch, which is handy — Sprout does that too. But then it actually coaches you through a fix, checks your form, and shows your posture improving over time. Noticing is step one; fixing is the rest.
Which Macs does it need?
Built for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later); Windows is on the way. It works with your built-in camera, your iPhone as a webcam (Continuity Camera), or any external one.
What does "lifetime" mean?
One $49 payment, no recurring fees, for the life of the app. After you buy, we email you a license code (SPRT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) — paste it into Sprout → Settings to unlock lifetime access. Founding members lock in the lowest price it'll ever be.
I bought it — how do I unlock lifetime access?
Check your email for a code like SPRT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, then open Sprout → Settings and paste it in. That's it — yours for life. Didn't get it within a few minutes? Email hello@sproutposture.app and we'll sort it out.

Sit up straight — without ever thinking about it.
